Current Projects
Right now in Jacmel and surrounding area we have multiple projects going on. Building permanent homes for those left homeless by the January earthquake. And repairs to others damaged by it.
As of June, we have lent our support and some of our skilled vols to assist another grass roots agency like ourselves.. One doctor ,from "where the stars still shine.org" who,like us was affected by the tremendous damage and loss of life .. rode his bicycle across the USA to garner funds to build his dream.In a village where no help was offered. Beai d' Orange, a school for the children, We at S.I.D.R. had to be in support of this project.. The ground is broken and the foundation prepared. the build takes place this month,with some of our newly trained locals and a few of our expert volunteers..
